Meadow Hill Guest House

Berwick-upon-Tweed

Christine & Tony Barton are justly proud of their comfortable 170 year old stone built house, set in a commanding position by Halidon Hill and over-looking the town of Berwick upon Tweed.

Being 150 yards from the A1, Meadow Hill is an ideal staging post for travellers and holiday visitors alike. Christine & Tony particularly enjoy welcoming and looking after their guests, many of them regulars, who return again and again to sample the peace and beauty of the area, the generous hospitality.

Each room has exceptionally fine views across the river Tweed towards the Cheviot Hills 20 miles to the South, the Eildon Hills by Melrose to the West and Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands to the East. A day out exploring the Secret Kingdom - perhaps enjoying packed lunches on the top of Cheviot or having a cosy, home-cooked lunch in a fascinating pub in Seahouses - exploring Cragside, the first house in the world to have electricity - or having a round of golf on the local 18-hole Goswick links course.
